WHEREVER YOU FEEL Dream Office & Contemporary Space – Milan 4-10 September 2021. Manerba Showroom Piazza San Simpliciano, Brera.
When the word ‘ZOOM’ will bring to mind only an onomatopoeic sound – and not hours of calls locked in our homes in front of a screen – we will emotionally enter the era of re-socialisation.
After so many months, social interaction will steal the spotlight.
Manerba has always put the person at the centre, and this long period of paradigmatic changes has prompted the company to question itself even more so about what actually constituted the ‘ideal’ workplace.
The answers were many and diverse, and in the new Milan-based showroom in Piazza San Simpliciano – on occasion of the Fuorisalone from 5 to 10 September 2021 – Manerba presents them by way of an immersive journey. A series of design solutions that meet the new needs of co-living and co-creation in three types of spaces: home-office, office as a hub, meeting&lounge. A series of specific configurations based on the type of environment, designed by the Federica Biasi Studio, to present the latest Manerba developments together with the review of several iconic catalogue products.

WORK FROM HOME. Flexible, modular, adjustable and colourful furniture, so as not to have the feeling of hours of the same, and to vary experiences and emotions. We have the ‘Apollo’ eco-contemporary workstation designed by Shane Schneck available in new finishes, the new ‘Kokoro desk’ with silent box-effect screen by Federica Biasi, and the ‘Amis’ round version of the table in warm oak with a thicker top by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, which is also ideal as a dining table. The ‘Stem’ bench in the new variant with aluminium struts and “ Easy” chair.
OFFICE. Physical interactions and face-to-face collaboration remain essential elements for people’s involvement and motivation. We will work and live in flexible and adaptive environments, which stimulate creativity and the circulation of ideas, and therefore productivity. When it comes to office spaces, we must therefore design with flexibility in mind, thereby facilitating the configuration of areas and occasions to encourage creative work. More spaces to interact and physically meet with partners and customers, hence large tables, a variety of seating options that allow people to adapt according to the time and type of conversation, as well as the number of individuals involved. Some isolated individual booths are also useful. ‘Kokoro sofa’, ‘Kokoro poltrona’, ‘Apollo’ workstation. ‘Revo’ in new finishes. The ‘Bibiena’ office pod/phone booth.
EAT, DRINK, LOUNGE and MEET. With the re-socialisation, the contract design industry will study new configurations for bars, restaurants and lounge&meeting spaces: the ‘Kokoro’ system by Federica Biasi is useful for the new presence/distance needs, consisting of benches, tables, sofas and armchairs, in addition to the enveloping and isolating ‘Undecided’ seats by Raffaella Mangiarotti.
A new context, the re-design of the Manerba workspace, which is adjusted based on human sensations, ‘wherever you feel’, or with a primary focus on the social dimension of the space.
