Inside one of the 20-foot modular containers installed at the Darsena of the Old Port during Genova Design Week (22\u201325 May), it will be possible to discover a curated selection of Cup<\/a>\u00a0seating pieces by Manerba. Carefully chosen by Turin-based designers Francesca Diano and Giuliana Picca Garino, these pieces reinterpret the space into a unique, immersive interior design story with a distinctively feminine perspective.<\/p>\n

Curated by Simona Finessi, editor-in-chief of the international magazine *Platform architecture and design*, \u201cCONTAINER 02\u201d is the official and now second edition of an experimental and widespread installation. It reimagines the maritime container \u2013 a symbol of travel, transit, and global connection \u2013 as an expressive, intimate, and narrative space. The container, stripped of its logistic function, becomes a creative studio. More than 20 female Italian designers will transform these modules into micro-worlds free from constraints \u2013 except those defined by the container itself. Set in the open-air backdrop of Genoa\u2019s Old Port, this original exhibition format invited designers to explore the idea of a \u201cmobile container\u201d as a reflection of their own design vision, turning each module into a manifesto of creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n

The Cup<\/a>\u00a0collection \u2013 designed by architect and designer Raffaella Mangiarotti \u2013 features softly rounded silhouettes and elegant curves, available in different sizes and heights. With its distinctive flared base and refined stitching details, the series offers versatile compositions. Shapes and colour combinations enable the creation of collaborative islands, ideal for group work, lounge areas, and open-plan environments<\/p>\n
